Surfaces Cement Paints Can Be Used and What Are Its Benefits :-
Cement paints come
under powdered paints and are used for exterior cemented walls and other types
of masonry surfaces. It is used for bungalows, multi-storied buildings, bridges,
dams, buildings of general public, etc. and can also be used for Interiors as
well as exterior masonry cemented surfaces. A wide range of colors and shades
have been developed and manufactured in cement
paints to meet various choices, service conditions, and methods of
application, performance and economic requirements. These are widely used by
general public and Government Departments, and other establishments. They give
following excellent properties to any masonry surface.

- Cement paint gives good protection to all kinds of masonry surfaces from Ultraviolet (UV) rays present in sun rays.
- It gives good protection from severe climatic conditions such as rain, water, heat, humidity, salt atmosphere near sea-shores, to cemented walls and surfaces.

Cements paints
hide various surface irregularities, hair lining, and roughness etc. thereby
giving a smooth and pleasing appearance to the cemented masonry surfaces where
it is applied. They normally give smooth and matt finish. The machines and
equipment's used for the manufacturing of cement paints are always available and
are not very expensive too. The process and technology that is applied is
simple. The paint produces a smooth, matt finish and is strongly water
repellent and weather proof. It is hygienic and an excellent light reflector, which
requires minimum curing with water, without peelings, flaking or rubbing offs.
Since this paint gives high order of protection,
beautification, decoration, and durability to properties than the normal
whitewash. It is extensively used on all types of cemented masonry surfaces.
The demand of cement paint is increasing among the masses throughout the
country. They have a good market and a very promising future. There is a
substantial demand for Cement Paints
from Government sectors like DGS, State PWDs, Railways, Defense, State
Electricity Boards, Govt. of India Enterprises, State Govt. Enterprises, and various
contractors, architects and engineers.
Cement paints are just normal cement with a few additives of
color that provides them color. It may be of a particular color or it may be
white. It is the cheapest option used while construction of the house.
Advantages :-
- It can serve to be the ideal paint as it helps a person in saving money and can also be used as a cheap exterior paint.
- It can last long as a year or two.
There are certain limitations to it as well, they are as
following :-
- There are limited shades of the colors offered.
- It requires ample of water so the cement paint can keep going, you need to sprinkle water at fixed period of times.
- It has to be used within 2 hours; else it can dry up and harden up.
